Grant BOB Team 2023
BOB is a statewide reading challenge at three levels- elementary, middle, and high. Interested students form teams of 3-4 people. Together the teams read and discuss all titles on a list of 20 AWESOME books. They then participate in trivia-style competitions to see which teams knows the books best. One team from each participating school advances to the state competition.
Battle of the Books is open to all interested 4th and 5th grade GRANT TIGERS! Practices will be held almost weekly, and the schedule will be posted here soon. Students in those grades will receive information about joining the team and those who are interested will be brining permission slips and information home for parents to look over and sign.
The Battle of the Books state committee made every effort to choose a diverse group of books- titles with diverse characters and titles written and illustrated by diverse artists. The list contains picture books and chapter books, fiction and nonfiction, realistic fiction, historical fiction, fantasy, mystery, graphic novels, biography, and more.
